But the backstory for “Yo Momma on Ya” is even crazier….the hook and the flow is originally created by a well-known homeless guy named Red, who was first recorded by the folks at the HVW8 Art Gallery in Los Angeles. Red was living in the alley behind their gallery. His performance became a youtube favorite, and Cam actually paid for the rights to the song. But then Red disappeared! So now…Cam and Snoop are hoping that by putting out the song, someone will track down Red, so they can make sure he’s getting his money and can get in the video.
Apparently, Red has several versions of his song on YouTube but, if you ask me nothing is like the original. The song is dope and the cause is dope. Hear the song below and Red's original version beneath that. Beside where is Red, I want to know...
